I absolutely LOVE these two books. Omg... Mary Calmes' world is.... I don't even know what to say to explain how much I love it or how awesome it is! lol... Jin and Logan's love story is so beautifully written the details of the world and of the creatures and their shifting is so gripping and almost real it has you reading page after page of it.
Haha, the side Character of Crane is also one of my favorites in this story. His loyalty to Jin is so unrelenting and just... loving, like a brother, it makes you love him too.
In the first book, how Jin and Logan meet and Jin's reluctance is actually rather cute. lol...
The competition that Logan has to go through just to keep Jin is amusing. Also the revelation of Jin's past is saddening. More than anything the love scenes are HAWT! lol. mmff~ if there were any flaws (that i certainly did see) The smex more than made up for it. lol...
In the second book, its so sad to see that through most of it Jin is hurt or being held captive or just running and trying to escape. It really makes you flinch to read about Jin's pain. But in the end when Logan Finds him and well, they're reunited its so sweet! ahh~ it has the beauty that the first book had that made you fall in love with it.
However in this novel, there were a few points that had you thinking... huh?
Which were how Logan's other brother was just kinda... forgotten. It centered more on how Logan's father was upset to find out one of his other sons was gay (Koren) and how now the family would be left to die. (as if there wasn't in vitro fertilization) But it was like... then... What happened to Ruslan? That was his other son. Just because he went somewhere else to study it doesn't mean he was Dead and no longer left to procreate. lol... it was just odd to have him Thrust out of the story. almost as if the Author forgot there was another member of Logan's family. Other than that, This second book was almost as amazing as the first. lol... and the end lightly comical.
I heard that there would be a Third book to this story... All i can say... How soon?! lol...
I really can't wait for a continuation of this story. Or, Desperately hope for one!
