I freaking LOVED the hell out of this book!!
Troy's insecurity and feelings of unworthiness come from a long childhood of bullying and humiliation. Added on to this was his family/home situation where he was ignored and neglected.
Of which left him with always thinking that he is not worthy of this person or that. This comes to the forefront when he meets Adam.
Adam who seems larger than life and brighter than the sun is assertive and goes after the things he wants and likes. In this case, that happens to be Tory.
However, when Troy's feelings of unworthiness get the better of him and he acts cold and distant, Adam thinks maybe this time he needs to let it go. Maybe they aren't meant to be... but he wants too badly to see where this could lead and even though he wants to throw in the towel he doesn't want to give up. Will he be able to make Troy see just how much he's worth and that he too deserves to be cherished?
Ah, I just loved it. I also loved 100% that we got to see twins & lovers, Gabriel and Michael from As Spring Rain!!

I really loved As Spring Rain and had so been wanting to see where they are in their future and in their happiness and I can't even begin to express how thrilled I am that we got to see just that through Troy. Though truthfully both are of course scared to share with everyone their secret relationship, to see that they are accepted by their inner circle of friends was so nice to see and I couldn't be happier. Because that's all they need anyways. Fuck everyone else. lol...
I was honestly just so sad to see how Troy viewed himself. That he wasn't worth this beautiful man because he's too dull or whatnot. That saddened me more than anything because I know that especially now that's actually really relatable. Troy is a beautiful and delicate soul and deserves more than happiness. He deserves all good things the world has to offer. And I am so happy that Adam is that one thing the world lead him to.
So happy to have seen the twins in their happiness and even more happy that Troy and Adam got to be exactly where they needed to be. Together! ♥
